Celebrate Military Organizations

We will present donations to each of the following organizations and hear from their representatives.

Our club designated the money raised at our November luncheon bake sale be donated to military organizations.  We raised $2,381.21.  It was approved by the membership that an additional $118.79 be added for a total of $2,500. to be donated as follows:

Local Organizations:

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10887, Broken Arrow $500

Honor Bunker known as the Coffee Bunker, Tulsa $500

American Legion Post 1, Tulsa $500

National Organizations:

Folds of Honor, Owasso $500

Tunnel to Towers $500

Please join us, June 10, at our June luncheon as we will be honoring organizations that benefit our military personnel. We are honored to have a representative from each of the organizations in attendance. They will receive their check and give a 10-minute talk their organization's mission.

The representative from the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the representative from the American Legion will also do a presentation on folding an American flag while the representative from Folds of Honor explains what each of the 13 folds mean as they are being folded.

Have a flag to retire?

We will be collecting old, worn-out flags at the luncheon. The American Legion will take the flags and retire them at an organized disposal ceremony, on June 14th.

*If you have never been to one of these ceremonies, we encourage you to find a local ceremony on Flag Day, June 14.
